The Spider Anansi offers twin AMS to keep it safe from enemy missiles and just enough firepower to out-fight other light mechs without too much trouble. Its machine guns also allow it to quickly demolish structures, making it ideal for Demolition and Raid mission types. Also keep in mind aside from the Hatchetman, most melee Mechs don't start showing up till 3025 and they sort of trickle in, some are not showing till late 3030s. #6.
