WebThe Dutch intervention value for petroleum hydrocarbons (‘mineral oil’) has been reviewed in the framework of the RIVM project ‘Main Evaluation Intervention Values’. The present Dutch intervention values for ‘mineral oil’ are 5000 mg/kg dw for soil and 600 µg/l for groundwater. WebTo assess soil and groundwater quality two generic (i.e. multifunctional) risk-based standards, Target and Intervention Value, have been developed, in the framework of the Dutch Soil Protection Act. These standards allow soil and groundwater to be classified as clean, slightly contaminated or seriously contaminated.
